Infointeg (PTY) Ltd. was founded in 2010 by Shana Kay and Kevin Derman. With companies starting to opt for a website on the internet, it was becoming a free-for-all, for all. People and companies could make claims and no one would know any different. Infointeg (information integrity) was founded to address the problem of fake credentials and information companies were publishing.
The first product developed by Infointeg was the Infointeg trust seal, which was ultimately, A business identity seal.
Since then, the company has pivoted into broader brand protection as brands started facing fraudulent claims, associations and more.
Infointeg started trading as IntelliCred (intelligent credibility) in 2013, to better reflect the business offering.
SAB Kickstart (2010), Cape Town Entrepreneurship Competition, 2nd Place (2010).

The Franchise Association of South Africa (FASA) has been using IntelliCred's secure brand tools since 2017. The key objective was to enable real-time revoking for members who were no longer entitled to display their logo.
